This highly practical workshop delivered by Paula Jones will equip you with a repertoire of teaching and learning approaches that can be used in groups or one-to-one’s. All of the activities will enable you to combine vocational content with personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS). FREE online access - Teaching in Lifelong Learning journal
The FREE access to the online journal 'Teaching in Lifelong Learning: a journal to inform and improve practice' was launched at the annual conference of the School of Education and Professional Development at the University of Huddersfield on 20th Jan. The journal was transformed into an e-version through a JISC project which has developed a template for intra-university open access journals.
Teacher Training and Technologies Conference 2013
The Consortium's Teacher Training and Technologies Conference 2013 (held on Friday 1st March) focused on the delivery of FE teacher training via blended learning.

Trainee tutors on year 1 of the University of Huddersfield PGCE/Cert.Ed programme at Calderdale College, along with their own students and families worked with local community to produce a music video on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Read more on ‘EDI Video’.

'Prepare your APEL portfolio to claim up to 60 credits in order to progress onto the 2nd year of a CertEd/PGCE'
The project will develop and pilot a flexible, on-line APL/APEL process that will allow greater access and achievement of the credits needed by individuals to progress onto the 2nd year of the Cert Ed/PGCE course delivered through the 24 Post Compulsory education and Training (PCET) Consortium partner colleges.
