Jane Brooke, Selby College
- I have used an app called 'Penultimate' to create class notebooks for sharing ideas/brainstorming. In this app, each trainee can quickly make their own page which can then be reviewed anytime. This could be good for evaluating a session: one thing you've learned etc. Also good for creating group artefacts.
- I have started to use Kindle software to check references (I currently have Jonathan Tummons' curriculum book). I would like to have some of the set books in this format but will have to look at costing.
- Dictionary -I downloaded my iPhone dictionary (Collins Dictionary). Very, very useful resource to have in class.
- I've made some recordings (idictaphone) of trainees conducting a 'Hot Seat' interview: how they got into the job, what they intend to do etc. as part of the Professionalism model. This is something I'd like to do more of.
