Huddersfield University Distributed Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training - HUDCETT

HUDCETT Logo

The Huddersfield University Distributed Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (HUDCETT) has been a Centre for Excellence in Teacher training since 2007 when it was awarded the status and funding to promote improvement and best practice in teacher training for the FE and Skills sector  across England by the DfES (as it was then).  The FE and Skills sector incorporates further education colleges, work-based learning providers and adult and community learning.

HUDCETT now acts as the development arm of the PCET Consortium and will continue to bid for funds to continue its project work to support trainees, teacher educators and tutors in the FE and Skills Sector.  We have already approached two other universities who are interested in working with us on this. HUDCETT's work on the Journal Teaching in Lifelong Learning: A journal to inform and improve practice will continue.
