Management

CPCET Management and Organisation

The Consortium is based on a Constitution and Memorandum of Co-operation and on an annually agreed financial appendix. All partners participate on the same terms.

CPCET pursues its aims via a Strategic Development Plan and this, together with the day-to-day management, is through a Director - currently a person with considerable experience in both FE and HE. The Director is part of a wider management structure and answerable to:

  • The Board: all of the partner colleges have a single representative on the Board of The Consortium. It convenes at least once a year and has final authority over all Consortium matters.
  • The Steering Committee: this body meets bi-monthly and its membership is drawn from regional sub-groupings of the partner colleges by ballot. It oversees the management of the Consortium and determines policy and priorities between meetings of the Board. See the Steering Committee page for the list members.

More information is available here on the management of CPCET either in terms of a table of roles and responsibilities or as an organisation chart CPCET Organisation chart.
